Choose to be a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ.
Act upon His teachings.
Experience the joy His gospel brings.
(This my CONSTANT reminder amid this missionary world of change.)

This is our 12th month in the California Santa Rosa Mission (CASRM). We see ‘12 month’ couples from our MTC zone going home and breathe a sigh of relief that we’re here for another 6 months.
In the next moment a pang of longing for home rolls in like the ocean waves and back out again.
Life without missionaries will not be as inspiring or full of light when we go home. So as you might suspect, this group of photos will be of missionaries!
This first collection is an assortment— p-day (preparation day) gives these young missionaries a day to do the necessities of life as well as have a little bit of play time.
Serving as an office specialist provides us with the opportunity to see missionaries as they come in for meetings or supplies! The group on the middle right have been serving in the office. They will be changing with transfers. They have been such a joy! Elders Dixon and Poulsen & Hermana Crandall will go out into the field. They take our hearts and prayers with them.
The Lunds provided dinner for the elders in the Bennett Valley Ward and invited us.

We traveled to Eureka for car business and deliveries. While there, we visited the Zoo and Sequoia Park.

The owl was in our Mission Office backyard. Whenever we meet up with missionaries, I take their picture.
The Larsens were leaving the first week in August. The Nates came in early to have a few days of training.
Elder Larsen is saying “Just go back to work!”— Not really, he’s too kind—But probably wishing I would 🙈Logging trucks are a common sight when traveling north.

The Lunds are in our ward and have become good friends! I’m in our backyard forest— looking for blackberries and plums. Glad I didn’t find a rattlesnake! Apparently they live there, too—one was by our garbage bins😵💫
Aww Sister Ward! Such an amazing missionary! She finished her mission shortly after that picture was taken—😢 to see her go, but such a joyous homecoming!🥰
We break away from the office and have lunch in a room by the kitchen. The Nates were still here and joined us. Sister Lamb and Sister Brockbank, then Sister Hinton — Can I just say how much I love and admire them!💕💕💕💕💕🤩🤩🤩

Grandkids enjoying and excelling in sports! We’re proud of the hard work they put in!

July is a month of celebrations!— birthdays 4th of July and the 24th! Hooray!!!🎉🎉🥳🎉🥳

Transfers! Such an exciting day!! It’s so fun to see the joy and love!

This is a mix of days— training, baptisms and just enjoying each other’s company!

When we meet up with missionaries, we celebrate them!! They are AMAZING!!!

More from transfer day

Breathtaking! When these missionaries enter a room it fills with light! We are blessed to be serving them!

We get to help with apartment inspections, we slso deliver packages, gas cards, supplies etc as we travel throughout the mission swapping out cars paying for repairs and various other responsibilities.

When there is a baptism, we try to attend. Some of these are at a baptism, others are ‘delivery’ photos! The top three are saying goodbye— we’re proud of you!

Well, as you can see, there’s a lot of change in a month! Hopefully my change is that of becoming a stronger lifelong disciple of Christ!
