Whenever the missionaries meet we recite this:

"Our purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of The Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end."

And we go on to quote:

"Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life. —3 Nephi 5:13"

Halloween has come and gone-- we bought candy, but no trick-or-treators came-- oh what to do with all that candy!!!

We have been traveling again to deliver books, swap out cars that were getting fixed, and inspecting apartments.

Some of the amazing missionaries we got to rub shoulders with! The bottom photo was one of the roads we traveled on!

We traveled to Fort Bragg to inspect an apartment (2.5 hours away). I wanted to see this lighthouse that was along the way. It was sprinkling and a 3/4 mile walk down to it, so I went. Elder Kennan rested in the car.

Sights along the way, the lighthouse coming into view, the trail, an anemone inside the little museum next to the lighthouse, a group of middle schoolers on a field trip, and the light house.

It's a beautiful drive anywhere we travel in our mission-- through forests, along the beach, and past vineyards. We stopped for lunch at the Noyo Fish Company in Fort Bragg.

This week we had MLC (Mission Leader Conference) in our building. This is when the Mission Leaders, APs (assistants to the President), zone leaders, and sister trainer leaders get together for training and teaching. The office staff fixed lunch for abt 45 altogether. We made sloppy joes, cut up fruit, and made brownies with ice cream (shopping for all the food at Costco was another excursion.)

The energy and spirit that these young leaders bring is incredible! So happy to serve them and they are very appreciative.

Elder and Sister Larsen are missing in the photo-- she is the expert planner and organizer--working tirelessly!

Back home, things keep breaking-- this week was a water heater along with the flood that goes with it.

Jen and Kat are dealing with it-- so thankful and grateful for them, and sorry that they are in such a mess.

It's Friday, November 3. We are completely exhausted! I am reminded of a family saying:

"Nida, why are we doing this?"

The answer?

"Because of Him, Because of Him."
